COMPARISON

Welcome back!

 

We’ve been reflecting on the last three weeks bringing you…Captivity, Obstruction and Motives. That’s A LOT to think about! So, we decided to lighten it up a bit and give your minds a break and make our fourth letter “P” be about Philippians 4:8, which says “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

 

We can’t stress enough the simple fact that comparison begins and ends with what we allow to linger in our minds. To keep it on the “lighter” side this week, we are asking you to be more aware and in tune with your thoughts.  You have the ability to proactively choose and guard your thoughts.  Rather than allowing your mind to be muddled with the temptation of comparison, dwell on this scripture instead.

 

Coaching Question:

 

  • Choose one of the attributes from this scripture in Philippians 4:8 and do a word study on it.
  • How will you apply this attribute to help you kick comparison to the curb!
